Kylie and Jason: Hit Factory Live Concert Cancelled

Kylie tweeted above pic on Monday "Rehearsals with gorgeous @JDonOfficial"

A special concert that would have seen Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue reunite on stage for the first time in more than 20 years has been cancelled.

“Live Nation and The Royal Parks have today announced that they have been forced to cancel The Hit Factory Live concert tomorrow (Wednesday 11 July).

Following the severe and unprecedented weather conditions across the country the site was declared unfit this morning to host the concert. The decision was made following full consultation with all of the relevant authorities and the safety advisory group. The safety of our customers, performers and production crew is of utmost importance and the decision was made unanimously. The potential risk to staff and music fans was too great for the event to go ahead.

Live Nation and The Royal Parks sincerely regret the disappointment caused by this cancellation.”
Kylie Minogue says "I am so sorry to hear that the concert tomorrow had to be cancelled. I feel for all the fans who had bought tickets to this special event. Jason and I were rehearsed and excited to share this moment with everyone."

Jason Donovan says "Yesterday was a great rehearsal …. Band, Songs and even my voice was all sounding great Kylie and I were really looking forward To singing Especially For You for the first time LIVE Well... You never know, I’m sure we’ll get another chance !! Fingers crossed"

Pete Waterman says "I'm truly devastated that the show has been cancelled. Artists, performers, friends, and our unbelievably loyal and supportive fans have travelled far and wide to be part of this special celebration. So many people have put their heart and soul into making this happen.
Thank you for your support...25 years and despite the cancellation, let the music live on."

We were thinking about going but decided not to, since it is an outdoor, huge park type of concert. And this is exactly why these shows should ALWAYS be indoors! The poor people who were flying to London from all over the world, only to have the concert cancelled so shortly before it was supposed to happen...
