A Love Letter to Aphrodite

Today is a bittersweet day for all the Kylie lovers out there. Tonight in Cape Town,South Africa the curtains close on what has been a legendary milestone in Kylie's career - The Aphrodite Tour plays its final show.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, the Aphrodite era has been her best yet! The album was a true gift to the fans and the one word that sums it all up for me is... love. It was Kylie's love letter to her fans, who have stood by her in the brightest and darkest of days. While I enjoyed X immensely, Aphrodite was Kylie's true comeback!

I'm sad to see the Aphrodite era come to an end but it comforts me to see it go on the highest of high notes, with a critically acclaimed tour that the world fell in love with. If you've watched any of her tour video blogs, it is evident that she has the most loyal of fans. Who come from all walks of life, regardless of gender, sexuality or language, we all get the same thing from Kylie - to love, live and dance!

It's exciting to see where Kylie goes from here. There has been talk of taking things down a notch by doing an 'anti-tour' in intimate venues, as well as doing an acoustic or tribute album. Whatever she does, you know the fans will be there, by her side, as always.

For now though, I'd like to put my hands up one more time and bid a fond farewell to Aphrodite! Till we see you again x

From Bowties & Showgirls Thank You!

I will certainly be there, no matter what she does next! I would love for her to do a different kind of album next (overall I think I liked X even better then Aphrodite - tracks like "No More Rain" is the direction I'd love to see her explore further. That said, I guess I always like POPKYLIE the best) ;)

Kylie really has proved herself to be at the top of the tree with this exhausting tour. I have thoroughly enjoyed your step-by-step coverage, too! Jx

This tour seems to be her most spectacular yet (haven't seen it yet, waiting for the DVD) but by the coverage I have read and seen it seems to be her grandest and greatest. Not to mention the album, which is starting to go down as my fave of all her albums, just can't get enough of it. Thank you for all the tour coverage Marky, it has been great
