The Voice UK 2014: Kylie Minogue is too small for the Spinning Chairs

The Voice UK’s Kylie Minogue has been given a bit of a boost on the show.
The tiny performer has been forced to use a set of steps to get into her famous spinning chair.

Kylie joined the panel this year, but the pintsize popstar has found the show’s big red seats rather too big for her.

“The block of steps is really quite cute. We thought about lowering the chair but that would have been a headache because we would have had to redesign all of them or hers would have looked out of place,” an insider revealed. “The block also gives her somewhere to rest her feet so they don’t dangle.”

The Aussie singer will make her debut on the BBC One show next month alongside fellow new judge Ricky Wilson.

The pair replace Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue on the panel, coaching budding performers alongside Will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones.

And according to the Daily Star newspaper, backstage staff reckon the new line up will prove to be a hit with viewers.

A source told the newspaper: “She brings a warmth to the show that was perhaps missing. She has universal appeal because girls want to be her mate and guys want to date her.

“The combination is just perfect!”

The Voice 2014 starts on January 11 on BBC One.
