Oscars 2011
James Franco and Anne Hathaway will serve as co-hosts of the 83rd Academy Awards on Sunday. Both have previously appeared on the telecast but not in hosting capacities.
Currently, Franco can be seen in the taut drama "127 Hours" and is nominated this year for Best Actor. On Sunday, he'll be making his second appearance on an Oscars telecast. The actor has also starred in "Eat, Pray, Love" "Date Night," "Milk" and "Pineapple Express." He is perhaps best known as Harry Osborn in the Spider-Man trilogy.
Hathaway, who grew up in Millburn, makes her fifth Oscar appearance on Sunday's telecast. Recently, she was seen in "Alice in Wonderland" and the romantic comedy "Love and Other Drugs." She has also starred in "Bride Wars," "Becoming Jane," "The Devil Wears Prada" and "The Princess Diaries." In 2008, the actress was nominated for an Oscar for her lead performance in "Rachel Getting Married."
The Oscar hosts recently made promotional videos for the big night and it's easy to see why the Academy chose the youthful and humerous pair. Watch the video of outtakes below:
Happy Oscar Sunday!

Check out this great article written by Keith Caulfield from Billboard.com...

Cant Get You Out Of My Head (Soulwax Kyluss Remix)
Thought you all might enjoy this! You can now download the mix of “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” that currently featured on her Aphrodite Les Folies Tour! The mix was done by Soulwax who had previously done other remixes of the single back in 2001. This particular mix which has more of a rock edge, was not released at the time but was later released in 2007 on a Soulwax compilation titled Most of the Remixes. Enjoy!

And So it Begins..."Aphrodite Les Folies"
THE SHOWGIRL RETURNS…AS THE GODDESS OF LOVE… RISING FROM
THE SEA!!
Nine years ago, in 2002, Kylie Minogue embarked upon her KylieFever world tour– it was her 5th world tour and her biggest to date – breaking box office records everywhere and setting a new standard for pop concerts throughout the world. The NME said “One day all concerts will be like this: phenomenally staged, flawlessly performed“!
KylieFever was followed by Showgirl in 2005 (“The gig of the year? No doubt about it!.” THE TIMES), Homecoming in 2006/7 (“it was her imagination and professionalism which established a new benchmark for the pop concert. Simply, Minogue is the best act in town” DAILY TELEGRAPH) and most recently by KylieX2008 (“Pop is the highest of the arts, because it encompasses all the others.. (and Kylie) is the ultimate practitioner of this ultimate discipline (and) on the issue of her supremacy, I won’t give an inch… Kylie is actually a pop genius” THE INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY).
Unbelievably each tour has been bigger and more spectacular than the preceding! Now, in 2011, she’s on the road again with a brand new world tour.
Aphrodite-Les Folies Tour 2011 promises to break all previous records – the show is grander than anything you’ve seen to date! This incredible show was created by Kylie and William Baker, her long-time creative collaborator.
Rehearsals started in locations throughout the world before Christmas – Kylie is currently rehearsing with her new band in London; the dancers and aerialists are being put through their paces by not one but three top choreographers in Los Angeles; the tech crew are putting together the props and staging on the East coast in Pennsylvania and Montreal whilst the video team are furiously at work back in the UK. Phew!
The bespoke stage for the European leg of the tour (including UK) is the most technically advanced, complex and precision stage ever created for an arena. It features over a million moving parts, including 30 high impact water jets, rain curtains and fountains! The stage, alone costing over $10million, was built by Tait Towers, the largest staging company in the world, responsible for building stages for the Rolling Stones, U2, Madonna, The Wall etc. etc.
The water elements featured in the show have been designed by the same team who engineered the famous water fountain show at Bellagio in Las Vegas, and the spectacular “World of Colour” show at Disneyland in California. Aphrodite-Les Folies will feature a totally unique “SPLASH ZONE” within the stage itself, where fans can be in the centre of the action in an amazing 4D experience.
The entire production is valued at over $25 million, and will see Kylie joined on stage by a huge cast of dancers and aerial performers along with her live band. The show will be moved throughout Europe by a crew of over 100 personnel in a fleet of 25 trucks!
The North American leg of the tour entitled Aphrodite Live 2011 has been specifically designed to take maximum advantage of more intimate rooms offering the audiences in America, Canada and Mexico a unique experience tailored specifically to the market. Please note that the Splash Zone will not apply in North America or Japan.
Kylie said today “Rehearsals are well underway and the show is shaping up to be more than I could have wished for. All departments are doing a stellar job and the combined level of expertise is nothing short of mind blowing. My friends, Dolce & Gabbana have designed an amazing wardrobe for me. I’m overwhelmed with the love and talent that is going into this tour and I can’t wait for my fans to be part of it”
The showgirl rises from the sea – Kylie has announced the news that Australian fans have been desperate for with the Goddess Of Love confirming she’s gracing her home shores this June with her spectacular Aphrodite-Les Folies Tour 2011.
Kylie said; “Finally, I’m able to confirm my tour dates for Australia! I’m bringing my Aphrodite-Les Folies Tour home in June! We started last week here in Europe and I’ve been overwhelmed by the fabulous response it’s received. I’m so very proud of the show and can’t wait to bring it to you!”
What the papers said:
Herning Opening Night
The .. pop princess set a new benchmark for arena shows with Les Folies and redefined the term ‘spectacular’ along the way. Don’t miss it”!!
DAILY STAR – Monday 21st February 2011 – U.K.
Riding on the back of winged horse Pegasus, Kylie Minogue kicked off her Aphrodite Les Folies world tour in Denmark last night.. Looking like a goddess of love – in tune with her song Aphrodite – she ensured the show, in front of a capacity crowd at the Herning Arena, went off with a bang… Nobody was left disappointed – the set list featured both songs from the new album and classics like Can’t Get You Out of My Head. Vive La Kylie!
MIRROR – Wednesday 23rd February 2011 – U.K.
… opening night of her jaw-dropping Aphrodite: Les Folies Tour in Denmark .. Kylie’s latest extravaganza is a 130-minute mind-boggling trip through Greek mythology featuring winged horses, troupes of acrobats, synchronized swimming and gallons of water that even shoot over fans in a special interactive “splash zone”… She’s the goddess of love and all the sets and costumes stem from the title.
DAILY STAR – Wednesday 23rd February 2011 – U.K.
Despite all the special effects, Les Folies remains a good old- fashioned rock ’n’ roll show.
“.. Kylie Minogue presented her biggest, and, if the audience’s comments are anything to go by, best show ever! Over 10,000 elated Kylie fans raised the roof with a standing ovation at the end of Kylie’s two hour pop spectacular – Aphrodite-Les Folies at the Multi Arena. When Kylie first appeared on stage in in a giant golden clam shell, which appropriately floated up from the depths, the crowd were spellbound, entranced, taken into another world. .. her voice was in fine form, reaching impossible heights effortlessly.”
MOG MUSIC NETWORK – Monday 21st February 2011 – U.S.A.
… a jaw-dropping Euro-pop spectacular that has to be seen to be believed. The staging, worth about $25 million, is incredible. .. While it was very, very cold outside, inside Kylie raised temperatures with her hottest show ever!
THE WEST AUSTRALIAN – Thursday 24th February 2011 – Australia
